Promo Mechanics
- The Promo is open to all active Principal and Supplementary BDO Visa Credit Cardholders (except Corporate Cards).
- The Promo Period is from March 1 to April 30, 2025.
- To participate in the Promo:
- The Cardholder must enroll to the Promo using the Promo ID sent by BDO through Viber message, SMS, or email until April 30, 2025. The Principal and Supplementary Cardholder must enroll to the Promo separately for their respective cards, and ensure that accurate information is provided.
- The Cardholder must use his/her qualified BDO Visa Credit Card on DEPARTMENT STORE and RETAIL SHOP* purchases and reach the minimum spend requirement from March 1 to April 30, 2025. For cumulative purchases, minimum amount per transaction is P2,000 and valid on in-store or online, local or overseas, straight or Buy Now Pay Later transactions.

BDO has the sole discretion to determine whether a transaction is classified as qualified. To identify qualified transactions, BDO is dependent on the Merchant Category Code “MCCs” assigned by the Acquiring Bank for each store.
- Promo Exclusions: The following transactions are NOT qualified for this promo:
- Transactions from other types of merchant categories (non-Department Store and non- Retail Shops)
- Local/ International Cash Advances made via ATM or over-the-counter
- Any type of bills payment: Auto-Charge, Charge-On-Demand, Utility/ Recurring Bills, Loan Payments, and the like
- Payment on utility bills (Gas, Electricity, Water, etc.)
- Transactions from casinos or from merchants engaged in betting or gambling;
- Cash Installment and Balance Installment Programs such as Cash-It-Easy, Balance Transfer, Purchase Convert, and Balance Convert
- Transactions from stock trading, foreign exchange trading, financial trading services, remittance, and the like;
- Quasi-cash, Cash in to load e-wallet/prepaid cards, money send/funding payment (Maya, Gcash, money transfers or any similar transactions)
- Telecommunications Services, Cable and Other Pay Television (Smart, Globe, PLDT, Converge, etc.)
- Any transactions used to redeem from other ongoing BDO Credit Card promos (e.g. Credit Card Activation Promos, SM 3-day sale, Other Outright Discount, Rebate/ Cashback Promos, etc)
- To meet the total spend required, the Principal Cardholder cannot combine his/her purchases with the Supplementary Cardholder, and vice-versa. It is the responsibility of the Cardholder to monitor his/her qualified spend.
- For Buy Now, Pay Later purchases, the Principal/base Amount will be included in the computation of the total spend requirement.
- For Cardholders enrolled in the Dual Currency feature, transactions made in US Dollar and other currencies will be converted to Philippine Peso based on USD1 = P58. The amount will then be added to the total qualified Peso transactions to determine the total spend amount.
- The maximum cashback that each Cardholder can earn is P5,000 for every qualified Card enrolled to the Promo. The cashback will be posted in Philippine Peso regardless if the account is enrolled in the Dual Currency feature.
- The transaction/s included in this promotion cannot be used to redeem in any other ongoing BDO Credit Card Promotions (e.g. Credit Card Activation Promos, SM 3-day sale, Other Outright Discount, Rebate/ Cash Back Promos, etc.) and is subject to the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of BDO Credit Cards.
Crediting of Rebate
- The Cardholder’s account must be active, and without any past due obligation from the start of the promo until the scheduled awarding of the cashback. For cards with dual currency, delinquency of one currency affects the other and will no longer be qualified for the Promo.
- The cashback earned by the Principal and/or Supplementary Cardholders will be credited on or before June 10, 2025. The cashback/s will appear on the Principal Cardholder’s Statement of Account with the transaction description: “MAR 1 TO APR 30 VISA SHOPPING CASHBACK”.
- Qualified Cardholders who earned the cashback will be notified by BDO via Viber/SMS message. The Principal and Supplementary Cardholder will receive separate Viber/SMS notifications.
- The Principal or Supplementary Cardholders must ensure that their registered mobile number with BDO is updated and accurate. BDO will not be responsible for non-receipt of Viber/SMS notification due to incorrect or outdated contact details.
General Terms and Conditions
- Cardholders must examine their Statement of Account for any errors related to the Promo (e.g. cashback computation, non-awarding of cashback). All complaints will be handled within 7 to 10 banking days from receipt of complaint, provided with complete information, proof of purchase and other supporting documents.
- For disputes/concerns regarding transactions made from Amazon.com, the Cardholder may be asked to provide a proof of purchase (e.g. confirmation email from the merchant) as a supporting document and send it to [email protected].
- Cashback awarded are non-transferable and non-convertible to cash. However, it is treated as a credit or payment for purchases of any outstanding balance on the Card.
- BDO has the sole discretion to determine whether a transaction is qualified as a Department Store or Retail Shop transaction. BDO is dependent on the Merchant Category Classifications assigned by its Acquiring Bank on each merchant establishment to be able to identify qualified transactions.
- BDO reserves the right to reverse or adjust the cashback previously posted if the qualifying spend is disputed or cancelled on a later date, or if the transaction is found to be invalid or fraudulent, or if there is erroneous posting of the cashback, or if the transaction was used to register or redeem from another ongoing BDO Credit Card promotion.
- The Promo is subject to the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of BDO Credit Cards.
- In case of disputes related to this promotion, BDO’s decision shall prevail. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder’s eligibility for the Promotion or for any redemption shall be resolved by BDO with concurrence of DTI.
