Promo Mechanics

  1. The BDO Visa Signature Welcome Cashback Promo (“Promo”) is open to new Principal BDO Visa Signature with Cards approved from February 5, 2025 to June 30, 2025, and with no cancelled principal/supplementary BDO Credit Card/s in the last 6 months prior the qualified Card’s approval date (“Cardholder/s”).
    Supplementary Cards, Virtual Cards, BDO Installment Cards, Corporate Cards, and cards issued from upgrade, conversion, replacement and renewal are not qualified to the Promo.
    Qualified BDO Visa Signature Credit Cards (“Card/s”) must be approved from February 5, 2025 to June 30, 2025.
  2. To qualify for the Cashback, the Cardholder must activate his/her qualified BDO Visa Signature and use it to meet the Minimum Spend Requirement (single-receipt or accumulated) within the corresponding Spend Period, as indicated below.

  1. The following transactions are not qualified in meeting the Spend Requirement:
    • Local/International Cash Advances made via ATM or over-the-counter
    • Transactions from casino or from merchants engaged in gambling 
    • Transactions from trading services/remittances 
    • BDO Internal Installment transactions (Balance Transfer, Purchase Convert, Cash Installment, etc.) 
    • Quasi-cash, cash in to load e-wallet/prepaid cards, money send/funding payment (Maya, GCash etc.) 
    • Transactions from Virtual and Supplementary Cards 
    • Transactions used to register or redeem from other ongoing BDO Credit Card promos 
    • Reversed/cancelled/disputed transactions 
    • Fees & Charges

      BDO has the sole discretion in determining whether a transaction is qualified. BDO is dependent on the merchant category classifications assigned by the acquiring bank of each merchant establishment to be able to identify the qualification of a transaction. In case a transaction is put into question, BDO may require Cardholder to submit documents related to the transaction in question to resolve the matter.  
  2. For BUY NOW, PAY LATER transactions, only the principal/base amount will be included in the computation of the Spend Requirement.
  3. For Cards enrolled in Dual Currency, transactions posted in US Dollars will be converted to Philippine Pesos using Php58 : US$1 conversion rate in computing for the Spend Requirement. 
  4. The Cashback will be posted in the qualified Card within the Cashback Posting Period in Section 2. The qualified Card must be active and the Cardholder must be in good credit standing at the time of Cashback posting; otherwise, the Cashback will be forfeited. BDO shall solely determine if a Cardholder is in good credit standing. 
  5. The Cashback is non-transferable and is not convertible to cash. It will be treated as payment for purchases made or any outstanding balance on the Card.  
  6. BDO reserves the right to reverse or adjust a posted Cashback if the Cardholder, Card and/or transaction/s are consequently deemed not qualified to the Promo and/or if the qualifying transactions were disputed or cancelled at a later date, or a reversal of entry is made on any of the qualified transactions and/or if there is erroneous crediting of the Cashback and/or if the qualified Card is cancelled/converted within six (6) months from the Card approval date and/or if the account is delinquent at the time of posting. 
  7. The Cardholder must examine his/her statement of account for any errors related to the Promo. All complaints will be handled within 7 to 10 banking days from receipt of complaint, provided with complete information, proof of purchase and other supporting documents. All questions and issues arising from the Promo will only be accepted within thirty (30) calendar days after the end of the corresponding Cashback Posting Period, after which all matters relating to the Promo are considered conclusive. 
  8. By participating in this Promo, Cardholders authorize BDO to disclose to any authorized vendor/supplier their names and other pertinent details. 
  9. Card application, activation and usage are subject to the approval of BDO. The Promo is subject to the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of BDO Credit Cards. The prevailing fees and charges shall apply. 
  10. The Promo is not valid in conjunction with other promotions, unless otherwise stated. Transaction/s used to qualify under this Promo may no longer be used for any other ongoing BDO Credit Card promos. Similarly, transactions that were already used to redeem treats, rebate, points, cash credit, etc. from other BDO promos, shall no longer be used to avail of this Promo. If found to have multiple availments, BDO shall have the right to reverse the posted reward/cashback. BDO has sole discretion in qualifying the transactions based on the mechanics of the Promo.  
  11. The decision of BDO, in concurrence with DTI, on all matters relating to the Promo shall be final and binding on all Cardholders.
