BOOKING.COM 10% CASHBACK PROMO

Preliminaries

  • UnionBank-issued and acquired credit cardholders are entitled up to 10% (6-10% variable) cashback at Booking.com on accommodation bookings for worldwide destination hotels
  • Rewards will be credited to the credit cardholder’s Booking.com Wallet no sooner than two (2) months after the check-out date
  • The Reward will only be credited if the cardholder has stored the correct account details in their Booking.com account.

Promo-Specific Mechanics

  1. The Promo is open to all principal and supplementary UnionBank credit cardholders (“Cardholders”) whose cards have been issued by UnionBank of the Philippines (“UnionBank Issued Credit Cards”) or issued by any other banking or financial institution and later on acquired by or transferred to UnionBank of the Philippines (“UnionBank Acquired Credit Cards”), have available credit limit and who are not prohibited under applicable Gifts, Anti-Bribery and Corruptions laws, regulations, and policies from participating in and/or qualifying for this Promo.
  2. The Promo entitles the Cardholder customers to the following benefits:

  1. To qualify, bookings must be made through booking.com/unionbank by following these steps:
    1. Register or log in to your Booking.com account.
    2. Select your desired accommodation, travel dates, and room type to view the rate and estimated cashback amount.
    3. Complete the booking using a valid UNIONBANK credit card.
  2. Bookings made via the Booking.com app are not eligible for this offer.
  3. Cancelled bookings and “no shows” do not qualify for the promotion.
  4. The cashback will be credited at least 67 business days after the stay is completed. Cardholders can check the ‘Rewards & Wallet’ page for cashback status.
  5. Cashback will be credited to the card listed in the ‘Rewards & Wallet’ section on Booking.com. Access this section by navigating to Profile > Bookings > Rewards & Wallet.
  6. Accommodations that only accept cash payments and do not display a “cashback” badge are not eligible for this offer.
  7. All promotional conditions must be met at the time of booking. No claims will be accepted retroactively.

  9. The offer is subject to Booking.com’s terms and conditions. In case of disputes, the decisions of Booking.com and UnionBank are final.
  10. Only one (1) qualified UnionBank Issued or UnionBank Acquired Credit Card may be used per single-receipt transaction, and only one (1) qualified Card may be accepted per Cardholder. Splitting of transaction is not allowed.
  11. By availing of the promo, the Cardholder agrees to hold UnionBank free and harmless from any loss, injury, or damage caused by or arising from his/her participation in the Promo or caused by or arising from his/her acceptance and/or use of the promo.
  12. In case of dispute regarding the Cardholder’s eligibility, coverage of dates, etc., UnionBank’s decision will prevail, with concurrence of DTI. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder’s eligibility for the Promo or for any request will be resolved by UnionBank.
  13. Fraud, abuse or any unauthorized action relating to the credit card transaction, the participation in the Promo, or redemption of promo may result in the disqualification of the Cardholder from the Promo, suspension or cancellation of Card privileges or the charging of the cost of the promo items to the Cardholder’s UnionBank Card, at UnionBank’s discretion. This shall be without prejudice to any legal action that may be taken by UnionBank.
  14. The offer cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional offers, privileges or VIP cards. Travel pack/s and privileges are not exchangeable for or convertible to cash, credit or other goods and services nor allowed as payment for the Card dues.
  15. The Promo offer is inclusive of Value Added Tax (“VAT”) and subject to applicable service charges and local taxes unless otherwise specified by partner merchant.
  16. The Promo offer is not exchangeable for cash, credit, or other goods and services.
  17. Any amendment in the terms and conditions governing the Promo is subject to prior DTI approval.
  18. By availing the Promo offer, the Cardholder is responsible for providing his/her personal information and other information that may be required to BOOKING.COM and agrees that such information shall be subject to the Data Privacy Provisions.

Other Disclosures

  • Fraud, abuse, or any unauthorized action relating to the credit card transaction or the participation in the Promo may result in the disqualification of the Customer from the Promo, or suspension or cancellation of the Card privileges at UnionBank’s discretion. This shall be without prejudice to any legal action that may be taken by UnionBank.
  • The Cardholder agrees that the continued use of the UnionBank Issued and UnionBank Acquired Credit Card shall be his/her acceptance and agreement to be bound by the provisions of the Bank’s Data Privacy Statement (DPS) found at https://www.unionbankph.com/privacy-security.
  • By availing the Promo offer, the Cardholder is responsible for providing his/her personal information and other information that may be required to the Merchant and agrees that such information shall be subject to the confidentiality, data privacy, and security terms of the Merchant. The general terms and conditions of the Merchant apply.
  • Any amendment in the Terms and Conditions governing the Promo is subject to prior Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) approval.
  • In case of dispute with respect to the Cardholder’s eligibility, coverage of dates, and fulfilment, Union Bank’s decision with the concurrence of DTI shall be considered final.
